Alzheimer’s Prevention Health Coaching

Men trail running

Creating and maintaining healthy lifestyle habits is the most significant change you can make to help keep your brain and body healthy over time. The road to permanent lifestyle change can be complicated, challenging, and full of ups and downs—this is where coaching can help. I will help empower you to create lasting improvements in your health and wellness.

What Alzheimer’s Prevention Health Coaching  Is (and What It Isn’t)

Health coaching is all about you. It’s your life, and you’re the expert in it. You’re the expert in your health, your priorities, and which strategies work for you. That does not mean you have all the answers -that’s where I come in! Together, we will clarify what a healthy future looks like and work out what changes need to happen for you to get there.

As your Alzheimer’s Prevention Health Coach, I can help you navigate the complex environment of recommendations and resources for preventing cognitive decline. You may already be working with a physician to make changes and want someone with specific knowledge of the science. Additionally, I am happy to be your entry point on your journey to preventing cognitive decline. We can build a plan to find a physician in your area or talk about how to work with your current physician on your prevention health.

I’m excited to get started with you. If you’re interested and would like to discuss, click here to schedule a cost-free 15-minute introductory call or email Steve to schedule your initial session.

Important Note: health coaching is not a medical service, therapy, or counseling in any way. No medical treatment, medical determination, nor psychological therapy is provided during coaching sessions. My clients must be working with a medical professional to manage their health because it is part of the most effective and safest path to prevention. For some people, a physician’s release may be necessary to ensure that any goals we make fit within your doctor’s recommendations.

Who Will Be My Coach?

I will! I, Steve Ledvina, am passionate about helping others live better, healthier lives, and reducing the impact of dementia on everyone. As my family lost our third member to dementia, my interest and efforts turned to help people avoid or delay a similar fate. As luck would have it, the science of Alzheimer’s disease prevention was maturing at the same time. Now, I am dedicated to educating people on how to help themselves and working with individuals through coaching to make these changes. I am a trained Health and Wellness Coach with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I started Knowing Alz from a career in tech to focus on using my skills to reduce the impact of dementia on my family, myself, and society. To this end, I have invested a lot of time to understand the Alzheimer’s prevention landscape and the various research-backed approaches to prevention. Testimonials

Steve is an excellent coach! His style worked well for me as he had a great balance of listening and guiding. I talked a lot during our sessions, and he was skilled at remembering even minor details and distilling the important pieces. With his help, I was able to start pulling myself out of the rut I had gotten into over the past year, and I’m now improving! I’m grateful for the time I got to talk with such an awesome coach.” – Joe D.

“I had a really great experience with Steve. He helped me organize my priorities and goals. With his help, I’ve established healthier eating habits and an exercise routine. I also started waking up earlier, which is something that helps me achieve my other goals, such as reading and studying. At the end of our sessions, I learned how I could continue the process by myself, so I don’t rely on a coach anymore to keep improving, achieve my goals and be productive.” – Aryane S.
